Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument in the world and obviously a must-see in Siem Reap. The Khmer temple complex was made of hundreds of structures, from partially renovated temples and pagodas to recently discovered ruins.

Old French Quarter, an old colonial center in Siem Reap, is characterized by the colonial French buildings and architecture, lush tree-lined boulevards, traditional restaurants, galleries and boutiques. The Old Market (Psah Chas), at the south end of the Old French Quarter, is a great shopping place with full of stalls selling various things from food and silks to other local products.

Central Siem Reap is around Sivatha Street – the city’s main north-south road. Shopping and commercial centers, and the famous Pub Street with an array of bars, clubs and restaurants are all in the town center. There are also a variety of mid-range hotels along Sivatha Street.

In the town, there are Apsara dance performances - a traditional Khmer art that conveys a story that are portrayed on the Angkor temples, craft shops, silk farms, rice-paddy countryside, floating villages and a bird sanctuary near the Tonle Sap Lake.
