New service SIEM REAP to HONG KONG

Siem Reap, October 29, 2017 - Today, Cambodia Angkor Air held a new product launch on Siem Reap - Hong Kong route, under the witness of Cambodia Angkor Air V-CEO Mr. Lim Kao, business partners and major news agencies in Cambodia.

The flights create a bridge for trade and tourism between Cambodia and Hong Kong, and bring the two nations for more options and convenience of travel by air.

On this occasion, Cambodia Angkor Air has offers the free domestic tickets for passengers who travel on the first flight from Siem Reap to Hong Kong as well as introduce the Khmer Dancing "Chhai Yam" to welcome passengers from Hong Kong to Siem Reap.

In July-2017, Cambodia Angkor Air has officially announced becoming the first airline in the history of Cambodian Airlines Industry achieve the certificate of IOSA as well as IATA member. These achievements could be considered as the endeavors of the flag carrier of Cambodia in the commitment to bring the safety service to customers.

Becoming the IATA member will open more opportunities for Cambodia Angkor Air to cooperate with other airlines under code share/join-venture cooperation. With this standard, Cambodia Angkor Air has chance to schedule the flights to other airlines in all gateways in this region.

Mr. Lim Kao, Vice CEO of Cambodia Angkor Air said: “I’m very proud of the launching new non-stop service between the world heritage Angkor Wat, Siem Reap and Hong Kong. This service will connect the Kingdom to one of the most developed economic and tourism center in the world. We are expecting that customers will enjoy with our new service. Beside Hong Kong, we also have plan to open more new routes to Thailand, Singapore as well as China. The carrier are also setting its eyes on India. India has a huge domestic aviation market and Angkor Wat in Cambodia is the largest Hindu temple in the world. Cambodia Angkor Air plan to bring Indian people to visit Angkor Wat. From  November -2017, Cambodia Angkor Air also offer the service from Cambodia to London, Paris, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Hanoi basing on the codeshare cooperation with Vietnam Airlines via Ho Chi Minh city”.

Cambodia Angkor Air currently operates in two domestics and thirteen regular international routes with 06 charter flights. The airline company uses six aircraft – three ATR and three Airbus 320 and Airbus 321. Until 2020, Cambodia Angkor Air will fly to more destinations when it takes delivery of 12 new aircraft – four ATRs and eight Airbuses 320.
